Knife and Fawkes brought to you by Rachel Pinder 2016‘I am feeling confident about hosting my very own theme evening in Roots Restaurant on November 10th. The theme is based around Bonfire Night and I have chosen the name Knives and Fawkes.

I feel that working at the Assheton Arms since I was 14 years old has helped me to prepare for this, I am already thinking about all the preparation and really looking forward to taking full control of the kitchen.’

The Menu

6:30pm – 8:00pm

Salt baked candy beetroot and goats cheese salad
To Start
Smoked haddock with bacon crisp, celeriac slaw and a poached hens egg
Apple sorbet with dehydrated apple crisp served in a pastry cup
Main Course – Fire-cracker surf ‘n’ turf
Spiced beef rump, salt and szechuan pepper king prawns served with charred corn, sweet potato fries and a chilli, lime butter
Trio of Desserts
Blackberry and parkin trifle, Salted caramel chocolate pot with hazelnut praline and popping candy crisp & a toffee apple cake with ginger fudge bonfire frosting

A vegetarian option is also available.
