A Renowned Local Chef Hosts A Great British Menu at AccRoss College’s Roots Restaurant.
A renowned local chef who recently competed on the hit BBC TV show Great British Menu gave Roots Restaurant customers the opportunity to taste her menu when she hosted a special evening at AccRoss College.
Eve Townson, who is the Executive Chef at The Eagle and Child in Ramsbottom, worked alongside budding chefs at Accrington and Rossendale’s new multi-million pound Heartwood Centre and Roots Restaurant to create her very own Great British Menu (you can view the menu here).
Chef Lecturer at Accrington and Rossendale College, Lee Hyatt commented, “It was a fantastic experience for our learners to work alongside a chef of Eve’s calibre.
The learners had been looking forward to this experience for quite a while and they certainly weren’t let down by the occasion. ”
Eve is very passionate about supporting young people and has set up a training programme EAT Pennines. AccRoss will be working with EAT in the future to give students a unique learning programme.
